Our Story

GPA Sevens was founded on June 1, 2022, at 84 Avenue Winston Churchill in Brussels, Belgium. The project emerged from a simple need: to provide high-level athletes with a competitive and supportive structure during the summer break.

Our players first came together on the sands of Blankenberge before making their rugby sevens debut at Brussels 7s. Although many of them barely knew one another, they were united by the same ambition: to compete, gain experience and grow together.

Their commitment, curiosity and willingness to learn quickly transformed a group of individuals into a team. Inspired by athletes from different sports and backgrounds, GPA Sevens began developing into something greater: an international sporting community built around performance, discovery and meaningful connections.

History & Results

GPA Sevens entered its first Brussels 7s tournament in 2022 with ambition and confidence. From the beginning, we chose to compete in the Elite category, facing established teams such as UBB Sevens, Trouble 7 and several international sides. That first experience shaped our identity and established the principles that continue to guide us today: courage, hard work and team spirit.

The following season allowed us to gain valuable experience through several international tournaments. In Paris, the JC Technique tournament marked an important step in our development. Our players improved their physical intensity, tactical discipline and collective cohesion. Shortly before returning to Brussels 7s, we travelled to Portugal to compete at Algarve 7s, a tournament renowned for both its competitive level and its atmosphere. Against strong opposition and in front of an international audience, we demonstrated our potential and secured fifth place. The experience gave the team confidence and confirmed our ability to compete beyond Belgium.

One year after our debut, we returned to Brussels 7s with a clear objective: to give everything and show how far we had progressed. Our performances took us all the way to the final, where we narrowly lost on the final play against the experienced French side Ocean 7s. Although the result was difficult, the experience gave us as much as a victory. It confirmed our progress and strengthened our belief in the future of the project.

Today, GPA Sevens continues to raise its standards at every training session and tournament. Our ambition is to provide athletes with an environment in which they can perform, develop and build lasting connections, while offering our partners the opportunity to join an ambitious, international and sustainable project.

Our Values

GPA Sevens is built on the belief that success extends beyond the rugby field. We bring together ambitious athletes from different cultures and backgrounds to compete, grow, and create opportunities for one another.

Our identity is guided by seven core values: friendship, respect, sincerity, altruism, integrity, self-control, and elegance. They define how we represent the team, how we support our community, and how we build meaningful relationships on and off the field.

Friendship Respect Sincerity Altruism Integrity Self-control Elegance

Our Objectives

GPA Sevens supports high-level rugby players during the transition from emerging athlete to established professional. Through international competition, career development and a strong global network, we create opportunities that extend far beyond the rugby field.

Professional Network & Opportunities

Build a trusted networking platform connecting young and transitioning high-level athletes with professionals, mentors, clubs and partner organizations. Our goal is to help players develop meaningful relationships and access new opportunities in rugby and in their professional careers.

International Competition & Discovery

Compete in invitational and elite tournaments around the world. Through international travel, our players will perform at a high level while discovering new countries, meeting people from different backgrounds and engaging with new cultures, perspectives and ideas.

Long-Term Athlete Development

Support our athletes throughout their sporting and professional journeys. By staying connected with current and former players, we aim to build a growing international network of rugby talent that creates opportunities, shares experience and helps each new generation successfully transition into the professional world.
